Author Guidelines

Author should first register as Author through the address:
https://jurnal.unimed.ac.id/2012/index.php/GDG/user/register. Author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. and don't forget to check the box "Author: Able to submit items to the journal".
1. The manuscript is written in English. The type is an essay with subtitles at any of its parts, except in the introduction. The title is printed in capital letters, font size 16 pts bold, font face Times New Roman.
2. Originality is a must, and the manuscript has never been published in any media before.
3. Systematic of writing. A research article consists of title, author name, Abstract and Keywords, Introduction, method, results and discussion, conclusions, and references.

Manuscipt Title

Title of the Article Should Be Brief and Informative No More Than 15 Words in English (Times New Roman, 16pt)

Authors

The manuscript has the lead author and member of the writer by writing the name in full and there are no abbreviations (without academic degree), the address of institution/university and the email address of the lead author.

Abstract

Abstract is written briefly and factually, covering research objectives, research methods, results and conclusions. Abstracts are written in one paragraph; It should not contain any references or displayed equations. Abstract lengths ranging from 200 - 250 words. Avoid referrals and unusual abbreviations. Times New Roman 10, with one line spacing (1) spacing. In english.

Keyword

Keywords consist of 3 to 5 words and / or word groups; Written in order of urgency of words.

INTRODUCTION

In the introduction, you should state the objectives of /paper at the end of the introduction section. The introduction contains the background of the problem. Before the objective, you should provide an adequate background (maximum 1 paragraph), and a very short literature survey/review in order to record the existing solutions/method, to show which is the best of previous researches, to show the main limitation of the previous researches, to show what do you hope to achieve (to solve the limitation), and to show the scientific merit or novelties of the paper. Avoid a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.

One of the examples of novelty statement or the gap analysis statement at the end of the Introduction section (after the state of the art of previous research survey) is as follow:

“........ (short summary of background) ............ (put here state of the art or overview of previous researches similar to this research) .............. A few researchers focused on ....... There is no researcher concerned on ........ Therefore, this research focuses on ................. Therefore, this research is aimed to .........”., etc.

METHOD

(one single space, 11pt font)

Inform briefly about the materials and methods used in the research, including the subjects/materials studied, the tools used, the experimental design or design used, sampling techniques, variables to be measured, data collection techniques, analysis and statistical models used. Avoid writing statistical formulas excessively.

If using a method that is well-known, only state the name of the method. If necessary, state the source of reference used as a reference.For qualitative research, research methods can be adjusted.

Abbreviations/Terms/Notations/Symbols

The use of the abbreviation is permitted, but the abbreviation must be written in full and complete when it is mentioned for the first time, and it should be written between parentheses. Terms/Foreign words or regional words should be written in italics. Notation should be brief and clear, and written according to the standardized writing style. Symbols/signs should be clear and distinguishable, such as the use of number 1 and letter 1 (also number 0 and letter O).

 1.     Measurements

For measurements, use S.I Units (System International units). Measurement should be abbreviated (e.g., mm, kcal, etc.) in accordance with the Style Manual for Biological Sciences and using the metric system. Do not begin sentences with a numerical figure. When heading a sentence, numbers should be spelled out.

 2.     Section Headings

Three levels of heading are allowed as follows:

• Level 1 (Heading1 format) - 11pt,  bold, left-justified
• Level 2 (Heading2 format) - 11pt,  bold, left-justified
• Level 3 (Heading3 format) – 11pt, bold italic, left-justified

 3.     Body Text

The body of the text is a set of body text paragraphs defined as follows:

• 11pt Times New Roman
• Single space, defined as 12pt
• Spacing after the heading is 3pt
• Spacing before the new heading is 3pt

 4.     Bullets

There are two levels of allowed bulleting:

• This is the first bullet level

−      This is a sub-bullet level

5.     Tables

Tables are sequentially numbered with the table title and number above the table. Tables should be centered in the column OR on the page. Tables should be followed by a line space (12pt). Elements of a table should be single-spaced; however, double spacing can be used to show groupings of data or to separate parts within the table.  Table headings should be in 11pt bold. Tables are referred to in the text by the table number, e.g., Table 1. Do not show vertical lines in the table. There is only a horizontal line that should be shown within the table. Provide a footnote to each table, identifying in alphabetical order all abbreviations used.

1. 6.      Figures

Figures are sequentially numbered commen-cing at 1 with the figure title and number below the figure as shown in Figure 1. Detailed recommendations for figures are as follows:

• Ensure that figures are clear and legible with typed letterings.
• Black &white or colored figures are allowed.
• Figures should be centered in the column OR on the page. If a figure spans two columns, it should be placed at the top or bottom of a page.
• Tables, Figures, and Illustrations also should be prepared attached separately. A legend should be supplied for each illustration, with all legends typed on separate sheets of paper. Photographs should be printed on a glossy paper.
• Hard copy illustrations should, preferably, be scanned and included in the electronic version of the submission in an appropriate format as follows:

−      BMP - Microsoft bitmap file

−      WMF - Windows Metafile Format

−      EPS - Encapsulated Postscript

−      JPEG/TIFF format

• The following files are permissible:

−      Microsoft Graph

−      Microsoft Draw

7.     Equations

Equations should be numbered serially within parentheses as shown in Equation (1) and centered positioned with the paragraphs. The equation should be prepared using MS Equation Editor (not in image format). The equation number is to be placed at the extreme right side.

8.     Statistical Methods

Any statistical methods used should be detailed in the Methods section of the manuscript, and any method not commonly used should be described in detailed and supported by references.

 9.     References

All publications cited in the text should be included as a list of references. References are sequentially numbered as they appear in the text. It must be numbered in the order in which they are mentioned in the text—American Psychological Association (APA) style, version 7.0, or later.

Papers not prepared in accordance with these guide lines and manuscripts with number of mistakes will have to be pre-rejected by Editor. Received articles will be reviewed by our peer reviewer and will be edited by Editor. This journal applies to online submission. Authors must submit by registering and uploading the manuscript on the Gondang website.
