KARAKTERISTIK SOSIAL EKONOMI MASYARAKAT SEKITAR AMAL USAHA MUHAMMADIYAH DI SUMBAWA BARAT

Abstract


Abstrak Desa Seloto sebagai pusat perkembangan Amal Usaha Muhammadiyah (AUM) di Kabupaten Sumbawa Barat. Memiliki karakteristik masyarakat beragam di sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji karakteristik sosial ekonomi masyarakat Desa Seloto Kecamatan Taliwang Kabupaten Sumbawa Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa karakteristik sosial ekonomi masyarakat sekitar AUM, dilihat dari aspek umur, mayoritas masih tergolong dalam masyarakat yang berumur produktif mencapai 39,19 persen, jumlah anggota keluarga tertinggi mencapai 71.01 persen pada kategori kurang dari 4 orang, Jumlah Anggota Keluarga 4-7 orang mencapai 23,19 Persen dan diatas 7 orang tererendah mencapai 5,80 persen. Pendidikan kepala keluarga tertinggi Sekolah Dasar (SD) mencapai 55,07 persen dan tidak sekolah, Sekolah Menengah Pertama , Sekolah Menengah Atas dan Sarjana rata-rata dibawah 50 persen. Pekerjaan utama sebagai petani tertinggi mencapai 68.12 persen, pekerjaan lain diluar petani (nelyan, wiraswasta, karyawan dan PNS) masih rendah dibawah 50 persen. Karakteristik  social ekonomi masyarakat sekitar Amal Usaha Muhammadiyah sangat beragam. Informasi penelitian ini dapat sebagai dasar dalam pengambilan kebijakan dalam mengembangkan program berbasis social ekonomi masyarakat sekitar Amal Usaha Muhammadiyah khususnya ditingkat ranting.

Abstract Seloto Village as a center for the development of Muhammadiyah Charitable Enterprises (AUM) in West Sumbawa Regency. Has diverse community characteristics around it. This study aims to examine the socio economic characteristics of the people of Seloto Village, Taliwang District, West Sumbawa Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive. The results of this study indicate that the socioeconomic characteristics of the community around AUM, viewed from the age aspect, the majority are still classified as productive age people reaching 39.19 percent, the highest number of family members reaching 71.01 percent in the category less than 4 people, the number of family members 4-7 people reached 23.19 percent and above 7 the lowest reached 5.80 percent. The education of the highest head of elementary school (SD) reaches 55.07 percent and is not in school, junior high school, senior high school and graduate are under 50 percent on average. The main occupation as the highest farmer reaches 68.12 percent, other jobs outside the farmer (nelyan, entrepreneur, employee and civil servant) are still low below 50 percent. The socio-economic characteristics of the communities around the Muhammadiyah Charitable Enterprises are very diverse. This research information can be used as a basis for making policies in developing social economic-based programs for communities around Muhammadiyah's Amal Amal, especially at the branch level.
