Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the low mathematical critical thinking skills of elementary school students in mathematics learning. The study aims to determine and analyze the differences in effectiveness of the RADEC learning model and the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) assisted by Quizizz on the mathematical critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students at elementary in Bandung city. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a design.Pretest–Posttest Non-Equivalent Group DesignThe research subjects consisted of 56 fourth-grade students divided into two groups, namely class IV A as the first experimental group using the RADEC learning model with 28 students and class IV B as the second experimental group using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model assisted by Quizizz with 28 students. The data collection technique used a mathematical critical thinking ability test in the form of a pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and statistical tests.Independent Sample t-test, and the N-Gain test. The results of the study showed that both learning models were able to improve students' mathematical critical thinking skills. However, the results of the testIndependent Sample t-testshowed a significant difference between the two groups with a significance value of 0,001 < 0,05. The average posttest score of the RADEC group was 84.71, higher than the Quizizz-assisted TGT group of

79.64. Thus, the RADEC learning model is more effective than the Quizizz-assisted Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model in improving the mathematical critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students at elementary in Bandung city. This research is expected to be an alternative innovative learning model that supports the implementation of the Independent Curriculum and the development of 21st-century skills in elementary schools.
