Analisis Tingkat Minat Belajar Siswa Kelas 5 SD Inpres 064969 Dalam Materi “Greetings and Introduction”

The purpose of this study was to describe the level of students' interest in learning the material “Greetings and Introduction” in English subjects in grade 5 of SD Inpres No. 064969 Medan Tembung District. The method used was descriptive quantitative approach with an instrument in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire consisting of 10 statements and given to 21 students. The results showed that the average score of students' interest in learning was 39.48, which was included in the “High” category. The conclusion of this study indicates that students show strong enthusiasm for the material taught, which is influenced by interest in the content, ease of understanding, and fun learning methods. The implication of this result is the importance of developing contextual and interactive learning strategies to maintain and increase students' interest in learning, especially in English language learning at the primary level.Downloads
