Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the CIRC model on student learning outcomes in the Indonesian language subject in grade IV of SD Negeri 060841 Medan Petisah in the 2024/2025 academic year. The research method used is an experiment with a quantitative approach. The research instruments were a learning outcome test consisting of 20 questions and a learning model questionnaire consisting of 20 items. The research sample consisted of 27 students taken using a saturated sampling technique. The pretest results showed an average score of 38.88, while the posttest results after implementing the CIRC model increased to an average of 76.11. The correlation coefficient test showed a calculated r value of 0.827 greater than r table 0.367, indicating a very strong relationship between the CIRC model and student learning outcomes. The t-test produced a calculated t of 7.365 greater than t table 1.703, so the alternative hypothesis was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the CIRC model has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes in the Indonesian language subject.
