Abstract

Language performance assessment requires an instrument capable of documenting students’ performance continuously. However, the documentation of students’ learning outcomes in elementary school is still largely conducted manually, making it difficult for teachers to store and monitor the development of students’ language skills. This study aimed to analyze the needs, develop, evaluate the feasibility, and examine user responses toward a digital portfolio website based on rule-based feedback as an instrument for assessing the language performance of Phase C students. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The participants consisted of Grade V and Grade VI teachers and 40 Phase C students at SDN Cijambe I. Data were collected through interviews, expert validation, and user response questionnaires. The results showed that the developed website obtained an average feasibility score of 95.83% from material and media experts, categorized as highly feasible. User responses from teachers and students were also categorized as very positive, with an average percentage of 94.75%. Therefore, the rule-based feedback-based digital portfolio website is feasible and practical for use as an instrument for assessing the language performance of Phase C students.
