Abstract

The aim of this study is to create a learning medium for the subject german for children on the topic of "profession" with the application "what is his profession?". This study uses the theory of Richey and Klein construction model. These include (i) the planning phase, (ii) the creation phase, (iii) the evaluation phase. The data of this research are the words, sentences, phrases, images, and audio with the theme "profession". The data source of this study are books such as Studio Express A1 and the Internet. This examination is carried out in the language laboratory of the Faculty of Language and Arts of the State University of Medan. The result of this study is a learning medium with the application "what is his profession?" on the subject of "profession". This learning medium consists of 3 exercises. In exercise I "choose the profession of a person in a picture" there are 10 questions. There are 5 questions for the exercise "which items suit this person?" and for the exercise "assign the images" there are 6 questions. The evaluation results show that this learning medium has an overall grade of 90 (good). The learning medium can be accessed online and offline mobile phone.
