Altruistic Journal Journey
ALTRUISTIK is a discussion forum that focuses on the study of Guidance and Counseling and Educational Psychology. It aims to enhance the critical study of various actual phenomena from different perspectives. The word ALTRUISTIK in the journal name refers to the term "Altruism" which comes from the Spanish "Autrui" coined by Auguste Comte which means "Other People". The name "ALTRUISTIK" adopts its basic meaning with the intention of instilling the spirit of -helping others- wholeheartedly.
First published in 2021 with ISSN-Electronic: 2798-3773 and ISSN-Print: 2798-3765. Several developments have occurred in the management of ALTRUISTIK:

April 11, 2025. We had a bad day. Online gambling hacker attacks on the journal website resulted in a lot of data loss and we needed to upgrade OJS. Currently Altruistik has completed the migration from OJS 2 to OJS 3. We will slowly restore the lost data through the Journal Manager. For authors, reviewers, editors who do not find data and cannot log in, do not hesitate to contact us at email altruistik@unimed.ac.id
Since January 2025, 28 articles have been missing from the review stage, and we have had to access OJS 2 through the university's local network. This means that data must be transferred manually. The IT team has worked quickly, and as of April 21, 2025, OJS 3 is up and running, and data must be transferred manually. Let's start fresh in our new home with renewed enthusiasm.
