All articles published by JASP are freely available online immediately upon publication. Readers may access, read, download, and use published articles without subscription or access fees.
JASP supports the broad dissemination of scholarly knowledge and seeks to make research accessible to researchers, academics, practitioners, students, institutions, and the wider community.
1. Free and Immediate Access
All published articles are made available electronically through the JASP website without a subscription requirement or paywall.
Readers are not required to register or pay a fee to access the full text of published articles.
JASP does not charge readers for access.
2. Author Access
Authors retain access to their published articles and may share their work through appropriate academic and institutional channels in accordance with the journal's applicable copyright and licensing conditions.
Authors are encouraged to disseminate their published research through institutional repositories, academic profiles, and other scholarly communication platforms where permitted by the applicable license.
3. Open Dissemination of Knowledge
JASP supports the principle that scholarly research should be widely accessible and available to support further research, education, professional practice, and public knowledge.
The journal therefore provides open and immediate access to its published content and does not restrict access based on the reader's institutional affiliation, geographical location, or ability to pay.
4. Author Charges
JASP does not charge authors for manuscript submission, peer review, or publication.
There are no Article Processing Charges (APCs), submission fees, review fees, or publication fees.
The absence of publication charges does not influence editorial or peer-review decisions. All manuscripts are evaluated according to the journal's academic and editorial standards.
5. Copyright and Licensing
Copyright and licensing conditions for published articles are stated clearly on the journal website and associated with the published article.
Authors retain the rights specified under the journal's copyright and licensing policy, while granting JASP the necessary rights to publish and disseminate the work through its electronic platform.
Readers and users are expected to respect the applicable copyright and licensing conditions when using or redistributing published materials.
JASP is committed to maintaining transparent and responsible open-access practices while protecting the rights of authors and other rights holders.
