Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of teachers in establishing communication between the school and parents at SD Yayasan Hamdi Husdi. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects consisted of the principal, teachers, and parents of students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results showed that teachers play a very important role in establishing communication between the school and parents. Teachers act as communicators who provide information about students' learning progress, facilitators who build cooperation between the school and families, and mediators in resolving various issues related to students. The questionnaire results indicated that most respondents gave very positive assessments of the communication carried out by teachers. Effective communication between teachers and parents creates harmonious cooperation in supporting students' educational success. Therefore, the role of teachers in establishing communication between the school and parents at SD Yayasan Hamdi Husdi has been implemented effectively and has a positive impact on students' development.
