Plagiarism
The Journal of Merah Putih Primary School Education (JMPSD) is fully committed to upholding academic integrity and ethical standards in scientific publishing. Therefore, this plagiarism policy refers to the Regulation of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2020 on the Prevention and Handling of Plagiarism in Higher Education, as well as other applicable national and international publication ethics standards.
Plagiarism is defined as an act, whether intentional or unintentional, of obtaining or attempting to obtain academic credit for a scientific work by quoting part or all of another person’s work and/or scientific publication and presenting it as one’s own, without properly and adequately acknowledging the original source.
Forms of Plagiarism
Plagiarism in JMPSD includes, but is not limited to, the following actions:
a. Referring to and/or quoting terms, words, sentences, data, and/or information from a source without properly citing the source in in-text citations and/or references;
b. Randomly referring to and/or quoting terms, words, sentences, data, and/or information from a source without adequate and proper citation;
c. Using ideas, opinions, viewpoints, or theories from other sources without clearly and adequately acknowledging the source;
d. Paraphrasing ideas, opinions, viewpoints, or theories from other sources using one’s own words without proper citation;
e. Submitting a scientific work that has been produced and/or published by another party as one’s own work without proper acknowledgment of the source.
Plagiarism Screening
JMPSD requires that all submitted and published manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin and/or Plagiarism Checker X.
The maximum acceptable similarity index for manuscripts submitted to JMPSD is no more than 25%, with the following considerations:

Similarity originating from direct quotations, references, and commonly used terms will be evaluated proportionally;

Editors reserve the right to request manuscript revisions if the similarity index exceeds the permitted threshold;

Manuscripts that fail to comply with the plagiarism policy may be rejected or returned to authors for revision.
