Jurnal Pendidikan Biologi is a national electronic journal which is an open access and peer-reviewed journal that contains original research articles related to biology education research. This journal is managed by the Biology Education Study Program, Postgraduate Program, Universitas Negeri Medan. This journal is published three times a year in April, August, and December. This journal presents the results of research in the field of Biology Education. This journal has an ISSN Print on April 1, 2012 with the number pISSN 2086-2245 and ISSN Online on November 4, 2015 with the number eISSN 2502-3810 and determined by Decree No. 0005.25023810/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2016. Based on the online ISSN SK, the Biology Education Journal already has an Online ISSN starting with the Vol. 5, No. 2, April 2016.
This journal aims to bridge the gap between research and practice, providing information, ideas and opinions, in addition to a critical analysis of progress in biological education research. Through the scope of policy and curriculum developments, the latest research results and their application in the teaching, learning and assessment of biology in the future. Particular emphasis is placed on research relevant to educational practice, guided by the realities of education in systems, schools, colleges and universities.
