PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PENGUATAN VERBAL TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS V UPT SPF SD INPRES MANGGALA KOTA MAKASSAR

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of providing verbal reinforcement on the learning motivation of fifth grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Manggala, Makassar City. This study uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto research type. A sample of 76 students was selected through random sampling techniques. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The results of the t-test showed that the significance value was 0.004 <0.05, which means that there is a significant effect between providing verbal reinforcement on students' learning motivation. Thus, it can be concluded that verbal reinforcement makes a positive contribution to increasing students' learning motivation. Keywords: Verbal Reinforcement, Learning Motivation, Elementary School Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian penguatan verbal terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas V di UPT SPF SD Inpres Manggala, Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex post facto. Sampel sebanyak 76 siswa dipilih melalui teknik random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket dengan skala Likert. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,004 < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara pemberian penguatan verbal terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penguatan verbal memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa.
