PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA POP-UP BOOK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF ANAK USIA DINI

Abstract: This research identifies issues related to the development of Pop-Up Book media that have not progressed as expected, based on initial observations. The aim of the study is to develop Pop-Up Book media to enhance cognitive skills. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D). This research and development method is employed to produce specific products and test their effectiveness, involving 15 children, consisting of 8 girls and 7 boys, at TK Ilmi Amalia in Palu City. Data were collected through observations, documentation, and interviews. Using Pop-Up Book media at Ilmi Amalia Kindergarten in Palu City, several children have shown development in recognizing concepts of time, understanding numbers, and problem-solving skills, as seen before and after the treatment involving material presentation and simulation using Pop-Up Book media. The aspects that developed the most are recognizing concepts of time and understanding numbers, where after the treatment with Pop-Up Book media, all children showed development. This indicates that Pop-Up Book media can stimulate three aspects of early childhood development; however, in the aspect of recognizing concepts of time, there are still 2 children who have not yet developed. Keyword: Pop-Up Book Media, Cognitive Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengindentifikasi masalah terkait pengembangan media Pop-Up Book yang belum berkembang sesuai harapan, berdasarkan observasi awal. Tujuan penelitian adalah pengembangan media Pop-Up Book dalam mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif. Jenis peneitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian riset dalam rangka R & D (Research and Development). Penelitian dan pengembangan adalah metode penlitian yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan produk tertentu dan menguji keefektifan produk, melibatkan 15 anak terdiri dari 8 anak perampuan, 7 anak laki-laki, di TK Ilmi Amalia Kota Palu. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Menggunakan media Pop-Up Book di TK Ilmi Amalia Kota Palu terdapat beberapa anak yang sudah berekembang dalam aspek mengenal konsep waktu,mengenal angka dan keterampilan memecahkan masalah dapat dilihat dari sebeluum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan penyajian materi dan simulasi menggunakan media Pop-Up Book. Adapun aspek yang paling berkembang yaitu mengenal konsep waktu dan mengenal angka dimana sesudah perlakuan menggunakan media Pop-Up Book semua anak sudah berkembang. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa media Pop-Up Book dapat menstimulasi 3 aspek perkembangan anak usia dini, walaupun begitu pada aspek mengenal konsep waktu masih ada 2 anak yang beleum berkembang.
