DAMPAK PENGGUNAAN GADGET TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA MAN 3 MEDAN DI MASA PANDEMI COVID-19

Abstract


Abstract : The Impact of Using Gadgets on Student Achievement at MAN 3 Medan during the Covid-19 Pandemic. In this day and age, gadgets are media that are considered very influential in the lives of the wider community. Gadgets have various functions and benefits in everyday human life, for example as a communication tool, learning media, entertainment media, and to obtain various information. The purpose of this study was to find out how the impact of the use of gadgets on learning achievement in adolescents during the covid 19 pandemic. This research was carried out using qualitative methods with a descriptive approach through interviews, observation, and communication. Respondents or informants in this study were students of MAN 3 Medan. In this study obtained information from 20 students of MAN 3 Medan, found the negative and positive impacts of using gadgets that affect student achievement. In fact, from the 20 students who interviewed researchers, data showed that there were 3 students who managed to improve their learning achievement, there were 15 students who could maintain their learning achievement, and only 2 students whose learning achievement decreased or were less successful in maintaining their learning achievement. Based on the results of observations and interviews, it was obtained that the results of the study showed that the COVID-19 pandemic had a profound impact on all aspects of human life, such as social, economic, religious and moreover aspects of education.

Abstrak : Dampak Penggunaan Gadget terhadap Prestasi Belajar Siswa MAN 3 Medan di Masa Pandemi Covid-19. Pada zaman sekarang gadget merupakan media yang dianggap sangat mempunyai pengaruh di kehidupan masyarakat luas. Gadget memiliki fungsi serta manfaat yang beragam dalam kehidupan manusia sehari-hari, misalnya sebagai alat komunikasi, media belajar, media hiburan, dan untuk memperoleh berbagai informasi. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak dari penggunaan gadget terhadap prestasi belajar pada remaja dimasa pandemi covid 19. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif melalui wawancara, observasi, dan komunikasi. Responden atau informan pada penelitian ini yaitu pada siswa MAN 3 Medan. Dalam penelitian ini didapatkan informasi dari 20 siswa MAN 3 Medan, ditemukan dampak negatif dan positif dari penggunaan gadget yang berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Bahkan dari 20 siswa yang peniliti wawancara diperoleh data bahwasanya ada 3 siswa yang berhasil meningkatkan prestasi belajarnya, terdapat 15 siswa dapat mempertahankan prestasi belajarnya, dan hanya 2 siswa yang prestasi belajarnya menurun atau kurang berhasil mempertahankan prestasi belajarnya. Berdasarkan menurut hasil observasi dan wawancara maka diperoleh hasil penelitian bahwasannya pandemi covid-19 sangat berdampak sekali terhadap segala aspek pada kehidupan manusia seperti aspek sosial, ekonomi, agama dan terlebih dalam aspek pendidikan.
