ARTICLE WRITING GUIDE

Articles written for journals cover the results of research, education, learning, science, culture, technology, language, art, social, phenomena, and community service. The manuscript is typed using the Microsoft Word program, Times New Roman font, size 12 pts, with 1.15 spacing, printed on A4 paper with a maximum length of 20 pages. Margins are adjusted according to the template made by the School Education Journal manager. Submission of manuscripts is done online on the Journal School Education Journal website.

  1. Articles are written in Indonesian or English. The systematics of the article are: title, author's name, abstract accompanied by keywords, introduction, methods, results and discussion, conclusions, and a list of references.
  2. The title of the article in Indonesian should not exceed 20 words, while the title in English should not exceed 19 words. The title is printed in capital letters in the middle, with a font size of 12pts.
  3. The name of the author of the article is listed without an academic degree, accompanied by an email or e-mail, and placed under the article title. In the event that a manuscript is written by a team, the editor relates only to the main author or author whose name is listed in the first order. The lead author must include a correspondence (email) or e-mail address.
  4. The origin of the author's institution is placed on the first page of the author's article under the author's name. (Can See The SEE Template)
  5. Abstracts and keywords are written in Indonesian (may be supplemented with English). Times New Roman letters, size 11 pts, with spaces of 1.The length of each abstract is 150-200 words, while the number of keywords is 3-5 words. The abstract contains at least the title, objectives, methods, and results of the study.
  6. The introductory section contains the background, research context, literature review results, and research objectives. The entire introductory section is presented in an integrated manner in the form of paragraphs, with a length of 15-20% of the total length of the article.
  7. The methods section contains exposure in the form of paragraphs about the research design, data sources, data collection techniques, and data analysis that the researcher actually carried out, with a length of 10 – 15% of the total length of the article. The length of exposure to results and discussion is 40 -60% of the length of the article.
  8. The research results section contains exposure to the results of the analysis related to the research question. Any research results should be discussed. The discussion contains the meaning of results and comparison with theories and / or similar research results.
  9. The conclusion section contains research findings in the form of answers to research questions or in the form of digests of the results of the discussion. The conclusion is presented in the form of a paragraph.
  10. The reference list contains only the referenced sources, and all referenced sources must be listed in the reference list. At least 80% of reference sources are libraries published in the last 10 years. The references used are book sources, the internet, research articles in journals or research reports (including theses, theses, dissertations). Articles published in this journal are suggested to be used as references.
  11. Referencing and citation using the confined reference technique (last name, year). The inclusion of the source in the direct citation should be accompanied by a description of the page number from which the citation originated. Example: (Davis, 2003: 47).
  12. The list of references is arranged in an alphabetical and chronological manner. 
  13. The procedure for presenting quotations, references, tables, and drawings follows the provisions in the procedures used in the General Manual of Enhanced Indonesian Spelling and the terms standardized by the Language Center. 
  14. All manuscripts are reviewed anonymously by reviewers appointed by editors according to their field of expertise. Article authors are given the opportunity to make improvements (revisions) to the manuscript on the basis of recommendations/suggestions from peer reviewers or editors. The certainty of loading or rejection of the manuscript will be notified in writing.
  15. Everything that concerns the licensing of citations or the use of computer software for the creation of manuscripts or other matters related to intellectual property carried out by the author of the article, along with the legal consequences that may arise from it, is the full responsibility of the author of the article. 
  16. As a prerequisite for article processing, article contributors must be subscribers for at least one year (two numbers). The author whose article is published is obliged to pay a contribution to the cost of printing the title. Articles that are not published will not be returned, except at the request of the author.
  17. Citations and References are written according to IEEE standards using reference manager applications such as MENDELEY. 
  18. Writing must be original with a maximum similarity rate of 25 percent (TURNITIN).
  19. Authors are required to do citations in the Web School Education Journal PGSD FIP UNIMED, both in Google Scholar and others (which is related to the School Education Journal PGSD FIP UNIMED) at least 2 articles that correspond to the author's.
  20. The author's article has a minimum of 6 sheets and a maximum of 10 sheets. More than 10 sheets are subject to an additional fee of Rp. 50.000,- per sheet (can see on the web in the Author Fee)
