Peer Review Process

Jurnal Psikologi Konseling implements a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to maintain fairness and objectivity.

Review Stages

  1. Initial Editorial Screening:
Each submitted manuscript is first evaluated by the editor to determine its relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, as well as its compliance with submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet basic requirements may be returned to authors before peer review.
  2. Plagiarism Check:
Manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality. Submissions with high similarity scores will not proceed to the review stage.
  3. Peer Review:
Eligible manuscripts are assigned to two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on novelty, methodological rigor, clarity of analysis, scientific contribution, and adherence to ethical standards.
  4. Revision by Authors:
Based on reviewers’ comments, authors are required to revise their manuscripts and submit a detailed response to each suggestion or correction.
  5. Final Decision:
The Editorial Board makes the final decision regarding the manuscript’s acceptance, revision, or rejection, based on reviewers’ recommendations and overall quality.

Review Timeline

The peer review process typically takes between 4 and 8 weeks, depending on the extent of revisions and the authors’ response time.

Ethical Principles

All reviews are conducted confidentially and professionally. Reviewers must not use any part of the manuscript’s data or content for personal purposes and are expected to maintain integrity, fairness, and objectivity throughout the process.
