Author Guidelines

Psikologi Konseling: Journal of Psychological and Counseling Studies welcomes manuscripts in the form of original research articles or conceptual papers that contribute to the fields of psychology and counseling.

1. Types and Language of Manuscripts

  • Submissions may include empirical research, theoretical studies, or practical innovations in counseling and psychology.

  • Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English, using clear and academic language.

2. Manuscript Format

  • The manuscript should be prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

  • The maximum length is 14 pages, printed on A4-sized paper, single-sided.

  • Use single spacing, two-column layout, with margins of 2.54 cm on all sides (top, bottom, left, and right).

  • The font should be Book Antiqua, 11 pt throughout the manuscript.

3. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be organized without numbered sections and include the following parts:

  1. Title

  2. Author Name(s) (without academic titles)

  3. Institutional Affiliation and Corresponding Author’s Email

  4. Abstract in both Indonesian and English (maximum 200 words)

  5. Keywords (3–5 words)

  6. Introduction

  7. Methodology / Theoretical Framework

  8. Results and Discussion

  9. Conclusion and Recommendations

  10. References

  11. Appendix (if necessary)

4. Tables and Figures

  • Table titles should be placed above the table, left-aligned, and numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1. Regression Analysis Results).

  • Text within tables should be smaller than the main body font size.

  • Figure titles should be placed below the figure, center-aligned, and numbered consecutively (e.g., Figure 1. Conceptual Model of the Study).

5. References

  • References must follow the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition style.

  • Ensure that every reference cited in the text appears in the reference list, and vice versa.

  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero.

6. Manuscript Submission

  • Manuscripts should be submitted through the Open Journal System (OJS) at: [insert journal link].

  • Submissions must be received no later than one month before the scheduled publication date.

  • By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

    • The work has not been published previously and is not under review elsewhere.

    • All references, figures, and tables have been checked for accuracy and completeness.

    • Permission has been obtained for all images, data, or materials included in the submission.
