Plagiarism Policy
Jurnal Psikologi Konseling upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. Every manuscript submitted to this journal must be an original work by the author(s) and must not have been previously published, either in part or in whole, in any form.
Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using similarity detection software (such as Turnitin or iThenticate) before entering the peer review process.
Similarity Threshold
- Manuscripts with a similarity index of more than 25% will be returned to the author for revision or rejected outright by the editorial board.
- Manuscripts with a similarity index between 10–25% will be further evaluated by the editor to determine whether the overlap constitutes acceptable citation or potential plagiarism.
- Manuscripts with a similarity index below 10% are considered acceptable for originality.
Forms of Plagiarism
Acts considered as plagiarism include, but are not limited to:
- Copying text from another source without proper citation.
- Using ideas, methods, data, or findings from others without adequate acknowledgment.
- Republishing the same or substantially similar content in multiple journals.
- Self-plagiarism or recycling one’s own previously published work without transparent disclosure.
Sanctions
If plagiarism is detected during the review process, the manuscript will be immediately rejected.
If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the article will be retracted and a retraction notice will be publicly posted on the journal’s website.
Jurnal Psikologi Konseling adheres to the ethical guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling all cases of academic misconduct, including plagiarism.
