Abstract

As digital natives, Generation Z navigates profound moral and ethical challenges within the disruptive of the VUCA era (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity), necessitating the development of a militant character to uphold national commitment. Militancy, in this context, is defined as a constructive fighting spirit, encompassing positive attitudes such as high enthusiasm, resilience, and unwavering commitment to truth and morality. This exploratory qualitative study aims to formulate a robust scientific framework for operationalizing positive militant character in Generation Z. The methodology involved a systematic conceptual analysis combined with deductive thematic analysis applied to nine specific militant behavioral characteristics identified in previous research. The thematic analysis resulted in the formulation of the Tri-Pillar Framework for measuring Generation Z's constructive militancy: Pillar I (Internal): Motivation, Commitment, and Self-Resilience; Pillar II (Relational): Social Involvement, Group Identity, and Critical Thinking; and Pillar III (Action): Value Orientation, Ethics, and Collective Action. This Tri-Pillar framework provides a strong theoretical blueprint, ensuring that militancy is interpreted constructively and serves as a fundamental prerequisite for developing a comprehensive psychometric instrument to assess the potential militant profile of Generation Z. Keywords: Militancy, Militant Character, Generation Z
