Abstract

Karyawan Generasi Z di Indonesia tumbuh sebagai digital native dengan akses internet yang tinggi, sehingga rentan terhadap perilaku cyberloafing (penggunaan internet untuk keperluan pribadi saat jam kerja). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji hubungan antara kontrol diri dan cyberloafing pada karyawan Generasi Z di Indonesia. Penelitian menggunakan desain kuantitatif korelasional dengan melibatkan 227 partisipan yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Kriteria partisipan meliputi: usia 18–29 tahun (Generasi Z), berstatus karyawan tetap atau kontrak, masa kerja minimal enam bulan, memiliki pekerjaan berbasis meja (desk job) dengan sistem kerja WFO, WFH, atau hybrid, serta menggunakan komputer/laptop dan internet dalam operasional kerja sehari-hari di berbagai wilayah Indonesia. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner daring menggunakan Brief Self-Control Scale (BSCS) versi Indonesia (10 item, α = 0,887) dan Employee's Workplace Cyberloafing Scale (EWCS) (20 item, α = 0,945). Hasil analisis nonparametrik Spearman's rho menunjukkan korelasi negatif yang signifikan antara kontrol diri dan cyberloafing (r = -0,374; p < 0,001). Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi kontrol diri, semakin rendah kecenderungan cyberloafing. Secara deskriptif, mayoritas partisipan memiliki tingkat kontrol diri (64,8%) dan intensitas cyberloafing (66,1%) dalam kategori sedang. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penguatan kontrol diri internal sebagai strategi esensial untuk meminimalkan cyberloafing dan menjaga produktivitas kerja Generasi Z.
