Faktor Penyebab Rendahnya Minat dan Kebosanan Siswa dalam Pembelajaran Matematika di Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
This study aims to identify and analyze the challenges in teaching mathematics at the elementary school level, particularly the factors contributing to students' low interest and high boredom. Using a qualitative approach through literature review, data were collected from various scientific articles published within the last five years discussing similar issues. The findings reveal that the primary causes of low interest in learning mathematics stem from internal factors, such as negative perceptions of the subject, low motivation, and difficulties in understanding basic concepts. External factors include monotonous teaching methods, limited use of instructional media, an unconducive learning environment, and lack of parental involvement. This study recommends the use of engaging learning media, varied teaching methods, contextualized materials, and emotional support from both parents and teachers to enhance student engagement. The results are expected to serve as a reference in designing more effective and enjoyable mathematics learning strategies.References
