Abstract

This study aims to analyze the collaborative role between teachers and parents in improving students' mathematics understanding at SDN 060868 Medan. The background of this research is based on students' low mathematics learning outcomes which are influenced by the lack of parental involvement in the education process as well as limited communication between school and family. The method used was a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that effective collaboration between teachers and parents at SDN 060868 is realized in several forms, such as: Regular communication about students' academic progress and learning obstacles, Alignment of teaching methods between school and home, such as consistent use of learning media or problem-solving strategies.
