Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the elements that contribute to learning challenges for class IV students at SD Negeri 091726 Silau Dunia as well as the learning difficulties that the students have when learning a theme. Descriptive qualitative research is what this study is. Observation, interviews, and documentation techniques were used to collect data. The study's findings provide light on the elements that affect students' learning challenges when studying themes. Pupils exhibit improper behavior (Social). Poor academic performance of students (Academic). Having trouble coming to new conclusions (Metacognition). Pupils process information slowly (speed of processing). Interpreting what they feel, hear, and see can be challenging for students (perception). Pupils are learning less intently and with less attention (attention). Students engage in far too many pointless exercises, making it challenging for them to retain the course content (Memory). Both internal and environmental variables might contribute to learning difficulties in students. Internal variables that affect this include learning difficulties related to inattention (concentration), students' sluggish comprehension of the subject matter (comprehension), their lack of engagement and response during teaching and learning activities (reaction), and their incomplete test results (retests). In the meantime, the community's friends have an external impact on it (community social environment).
