Artikel ini menjelaskan perkembangan bimbingan dan konseling dari masa ke masa, mulai dari awal kemunculannya hingga praktik modern di sekolah. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan, penelitian ini menelaah buku, artikel, dan penelitian sebelumnya untuk menggambarkan perubahan konsep, prinsip, dan praktik bimbingan dan konseling. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan dan konseling telah berkembang dari layanan yang hanya fokus pada masalah individu menjadi pendekatan holistik yang membantu siswa mengembangkan potensi diri secara maksimal. Perubahan sosial, teknologi, dan kebutuhan siswa menjadi faktor pengaruh perkembangan ini. Pemahaman terhadap sejarah bimbingan dan konseling penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan di sekolah. Temuan ini dapat menjadi rujukan bagi konselor, guru, dan peneliti dalam mendukung perkembangan siswa.Referensi
