G. Plagiarism and Research Misconduct

Indonesia Sport Journal strictly prohibits plagiarism and other forms of research and publication misconduct.

Plagiarism includes presenting another person's ideas, words, data, or work as one's own without appropriate acknowledgment. Research misconduct also includes fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship attribution, and other practices that compromise the integrity of scholarly communication.

Submitted manuscripts may be screened using appropriate similarity-detection software. Similarity scores are assessed in context because legitimate quotations, references, and commonly used technical expressions may contribute to textual similarity.

Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism or other serious ethical violations may be rejected. If misconduct is identified after publication, the journal may issue a correction, an expression of concern, or a retraction, depending on the nature and severity of the case.

H. Conflicts of Interest

All authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any financial, professional, personal, or institutional relationships that could influence, or reasonably appear to influence, their judgment.

Editors and reviewers with relevant conflicts of interest must withdraw from the evaluation of the affected manuscript. Alternative independent reviewers or editors may be appointed when necessary.

The existence of a disclosed conflict of interest does not automatically constitute misconduct; failure to disclose a relevant conflict may, however, raise ethical concerns.

I. Research Ethics and Human Participants

Research involving human participants, including athletes, students, teachers, and other research subjects, must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements.

Where applicable, authors must obtain approval from a competent research ethics committee before conducting the research. Informed consent, participant confidentiality, data protection, and the right to withdraw must be respected.

Research involving animals must comply with relevant ethical standards and applicable regulations.

Authors may be asked to provide documentation of ethical approval, informed consent, or other relevant permissions during the editorial process.

J. Corrections, Retractions, and Complaints

Indonesia Sport Journal is committed to addressing errors and ethical concerns in a fair, transparent, and timely manner.

Complaints concerning editorial decisions, authorship, peer review, research integrity, or publication misconduct should be submitted to the editorial office with supporting information where available.

The journal will assess allegations impartially, provide relevant parties with an appropriate opportunity to respond, and seek additional information when necessary.

Depending on the findings, the journal may reject a manuscript, request corrections, publish a correction notice, issue an expression of concern, retract an article, or refer the matter to the relevant institution.

Editorial decisions and corrective actions will be documented appropriately to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.
