Abstract

This research aims to describe students' difficulties in writing stories in class IV Indonesian at SD Negeri 173601 Onan Borbor. The object of this research is the fourth grade homeroom teacher. The subjects in this research were all fourth grade students at SD Negeri 173601 Onan Borbor, consisting of 18 students. This research data was obtained through observation, interviews, writing tests and documentation. There are four stages of data analysis techniques used, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. Based on the results of data analysis in this study, it was found that the average student score was 68, which was included in the poor category. There were 12 students who got scores in the poor category with a score range of 60-69, then 4 students who got scores in the fair category with a score of 70-79, and 1 student who got a good score with a score of 80-89 and 1 student got a very good score. good with a score of 90-100. Based on the results of the data analysis obtained, it can be concluded that the level of difficulty of students in writing stories in Indonesian language subjects is still relatively low.
