ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS' LITERACY SKILLS IN FINDING INTRINSIC ELEMENTS IN THE STORY OF LAKE TOBA IN CLASS V SDN 095178 SIDAMANIK T. A. 2023/2024
Abstract
This study aims to determine the literacy ability of grade V elementary school students on intrinsic element material in public elementary schools 095178 Sidamanik. This research uses qualitative descriptive research methods. The steps taken in this study are divided into 3, namely preparation, implementation, and completion. The subjects of this study were all class V students totaling 15 people. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews, and tests. The results showed that the percentage of students' literacy ability in finding intellectual elements in the story "the occurrence of Lake Toba" was as follows: the percentage of students' abilities who obtained the category of very capable 5 students or 33.3%. Categories can be obtained by 6 students or 40%. The percentage of students with a fairly capable category is 1 student or 6.7%. The underprivileged category is obtained by 3 students or 20%, while students in the indigent category do not exist. So, students' literacy ability in finding intrinsic elements in the story of the occurrence of Lake Toba in grade V of SD Negeri 095178 Sidamanik for the 2023/2024 school year is categorized as capable with an average score of 69.86.
